Saturday 3.26.11 Afrikan Sciences took the helm of Oakland’s trailblazing party thePeople. Bringing to close a beautiful month that celebrated the arrival of Afrikan Sciences heralded 1st album “Means and Ways“. To see this performance in front of the home crowd further elevated the drumbeat that many are starting to catch wind to. Oakland is mapping a new territory onto it’s self in regards to all things Deep/Electric and Soul. Something Indigenous, something Beautiful, something Other. Massive love to ALL that participated in this evening. We are Deeply moved… A Historic night indeed.

A few highlights from Afrikan Sciences Record Release Party at Siete Potencias Africanas Gallery in San Francisco. Massive Love & Respect to ALL who braved some pretty terrible weather to come out and share some time & space with us. Along with the Celebration of Afrikan Sciences “Means and Ways” album it was also our 1st LIVE performance so I am doubly humbled, and grateful for the turnout. I would like to thank a few people who made the evening possible…

They left an irreplaceable legacy in Oakland.
