I have been a fan of Miles work for a few years now so when he approached me with the idea there was no hesitation. I love Miles’s approach to his music. He brings a warmth, and a harmonic sophistication that fuses my favorite elements of Deep House and Techno. I hope you enjoy this project as much as we did creating it. [ FILM ] AYBEE VLOG | 7899 | Ron Trent in SF (2011)

The Mighty Ron Trent was in town this past weekend to get down with Damon Bell at his Loose Joints party in SF. A fantastic opportunity to hear some great music delivered by one of the masters of the Art, and get in some sorely need catch up time/building. When Ron comes to town it’s never a problem getting the Jedi Council together as heads know this will be one of the few opportunities to conjure the electromagnetic frequencies that are needed for sustenance. With laser precision Ron delivered. Transporting SF’s packed Make Out Room into dance-floors past, present, and future at the same time. Below are some moments from the evening, but before you indulge I want to make something’s clear.

There is a beautiful sequence where two of the dancers (Paul Atkinson and Patrick Wilson) get into what we call releasing the God-Self. Understand that this is an alcohol/drug free exchange of Rhythmic Call and Response. What you are witnessing is not two guys dancing, but the Spirit using their physical bodies(the host) to respond to the Call for which Ron is the conduit. This is an essential element of the Science for which we partake. The Rhythm is not profane…understand this. With that stated enjoy. Love and Light to ALL.

Saturday 3.26.11 Afrikan Sciences took the helm of Oakland’s trailblazing party thePeople. Bringing to close a beautiful month that celebrated the arrival of Afrikan Sciences heralded 1st album “Means and Ways“. To see this performance in front of the home crowd further elevated the drumbeat that many are starting to catch wind to. Oakland is mapping a new territory onto it’s self in regards to all things Deep/Electric and Soul. Something Indigenous, something Beautiful, something Other. Massive love to ALL that participated in this evening. We are Deeply moved… A Historic night indeed.

Afrikan Sciences Album Release Party | 3.19.11

[ FILM ] AYBEE VLOG | 7890 | No Cabs in SF with Simbad (2010)

Connected with my Brother Simbad in town from London to play this weekend. We tried and FAILED to catch Fred P. at a an outdoor event in SF. We could Not get a Cab from Glen Park Bart station after 45 mins of trying. Go figure…it gets better.

So we head back to the Mission to grab something to eat. We stop at this Indian spot and order some food. This Girl sits at the table right next to us with her food. She has a pretty impressive spread, but she’s solo. So our food comes, and we are eating when all of a sudden she get’s up. Simbad’s like “I hope she not leaving?” I’m like “No think she just is grabbing some napkins.”

Then I see her walk out of the restaurant!? We’re like whoa that is ill she only took like 3 bites out of her food then bailed? So I’m looking at him, he’s looking at me, and were looking at her spread. Simbad starts going in on her Naan, and I grab some of her curry beef. We’re like that was weird, but oh well. Why after like 5 mins she comes back???

Half the Naan is gone, and we are like “heeeeey we thought you left…(insert oh ish grin)”. She said “Nooo I went to grab a beer”. Ohps. She was totally cool about it though, and I did not mention me going in on that curry beef she had.
