AYBEE VLOG | 7898 | Afrikan Sciences LIVE @ thePeople (Oakland)

Live Painting By Yasushi Matsui

Saturday 3.26.11 Afrikan Sciences took the helm of Oakland’s trailblazing party thePeople. Bringing to close a beautiful month that celebrated the arrival of Afrikan Sciences heralded 1st album “Means and Ways“. To see this performance in front of the home crowd further elevated the drumbeat that many are starting to catch wind to. Oakland is mapping a new territory onto it’s self in regards to all things Deep/Electric and Soul. Something Indigenous, something Beautiful, something Other. Massive love to ALL that participated in this evening. We are Deeply moved… A Historic night indeed.

AYBEE @ The People (Oakland) | 2.28.09

Footage of me getting down with the fam at thePeople party in Oakland. Long since it’s inception my favorite party of recent years. Always a Beautiful mix of faces, flavas, and sound that is unique to Oakland. Despite my allergies acting up the vibe was thick. My man Erik Rico blew some wigs with his performance letting people sample some live 25th Century Soul…Love | Respect | Power to Cecil, Cali, Amy, B-Brown, and Hey Love for invite. Look forward to doing it again.
